Originally Tidbits of NW Colorado was known as Tickle Times News, however when the COVID pandemic caused the paper's distribution system on being on all the area restaurant tables, I made the decision to partner with Tidbits News in March of 2023 which in my opinion and the readers as well has only made the paper more interesting!
At Tidbits of Northwest Colorado, we value integrity, accuracy, and creativity. We are committed to providing our readers with truthful, fun information, and we strive to engage our readers with entertaining content every week. We believe that great content is a result of hard work, dedication, and a willingness to take risks and try new things.
Greetings! My name is Michelle Reed,
publisher, editor, layout and design, advertising sales, print and bindery operations, delivery as well as website content and social media editor. Or, in other words, I get to wear many hats!
I have been in sales and marketing for
most of my adult life with an extensive
background in advertising and promotion. I started out in this industry as a sales representative for another paper, Tickles and Bits that was published by Tom Dodd of Silverthorne,
Colorado until he opted for retirement in 2019 and at that time offered to let me
have the rights to publish my own paper here in Northwest Colorado, which I thought would be a fun project to have, and so Tickle Times News was born! Things went along pretty good until the dreaded COVID pandemic struck and the distribution system for TT went to the wayside as the paper was distributed exclusively on restaurant tables everywhere - however with no indoor seating being offered during the pandemic, I realized that the paper would have to be distributed some other way. I attempted to contact Tom
to get his input and/or advice, but sadly I learned that both he and his wife, Kelly had passed away. So I turned to the oh-so-reliable internet for direction. While
searching, I was lucky enough to come across the Tidbits News website and I contacted them and TADAA! here we are 6 years later still going! My passion
is doing whatever I can to help local businesses grow and thrive.
Tidbits has a team of talented writers and editors who are passionate about their craft. Our contributors come from a variety of backgrounds and bring a unique perspective to the stories they cover. Couple that with national content with regards to weekly columns, puzzles, quizzes and cartoons and you
have a interesting, fun and informative
break from the everyday news! We welcome anyone who writes stories to contact us if they would like to see their work in print.

Then, the adventure begins.

And for those with a thirst for even more exploration, join us on a special third-day excursion to the stunning Salt Wells Creek in Wyoming. This exclusive trip (with a modest extra fee and carpooling logistics) promises an experience that few ever get to witness.
